New police dog sniffs out huge cache of heroin and crack

A 41-year-old man from Bristol has been jailed for six years after a newly trained police dog sniffed out around £170,000 of heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis and a cutting agent hidden beneath floorboards at his home, a court heard.

Kemar Lewis, of Kensington Park, Easton , pleaded guilty last Friday, September 12, at Bristol Crown Court , to being in possession of class A drugs with intent to supply (namely crack cocaine and heroin) and class B drugs (cannabis). He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of criminal property.

In a video showing the search of Lewis' home, an Avon and Somerset Police officer is heard to say: "Let's see what we've got. Oh! Jackpot!"
