LYNDEN, Wash. — The Lynden School District decided to table a resolution this week that would have designated the first Monday before Sept. 10 each year as “Charlie Kirk Day.”

The unsigned draft resolution, written by members of the Lynden School Board, was discussed during Thursday’s board meeting. It affirmed the district’s opposition to political violence and its support for student debate clubs. Kirk was known for holding public forums concerning political issues.
