OTTAWA – Prime Minister Mark Carney has a series of meetings set for Tuesday with his cabinet, the premier of Saskatchewan and canola industry leaders.
The prime minister chairs the cabinet meeting in the morning before sitting down in the afternoon with Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe and with canola industry leaders later in the day.
He and Moe are being joined by Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Heath MacDonald, Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu, Secretary of State for Rural Development Buckley Belanger and Kody Blois, Carney’s parliamentary secretary.
Blois and Moe were in China earlier this month to meet with Chinese officials who oversee tariffs on Canadian canola, the international trade negotiator with China’s ministry of commerce and other industry officials.
