CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A juvenile was shot and killed in a Charlotte neighborhood on Wednesday morning, paramedics said.

The Sept. 17 shooting happened around 6:15 a.m. on Cigar Court, which is off Moss Road in the Steele Creek area.

Medic confirmed that the shooting was deadly and that the person who died was under 18 years old; however, officials have not yet released that person’s name nor exact age.

The circumstances surround the shooting are unclear. It was also not immediately clear if any potential suspects were in custody.
