TOKYO (WCMH) -- Lakewood, Ohio native Katie Moon has put herself in the conversation among the greatest female pole vaulters after winning her third straight world title on Wednesday in Tokyo.

Moon was able to claim her third straight pole vault gold at the World Athletics Championships with a clearance of 4.90 meters, beating fellow American Sandi Morris, who finished second at the world championships for the fourth time in the last five iterations. Slovenia's Tina Sutej completed the podium with bronze.
