DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A group of young women are working together to spread a powerful message to girls around the Miami Valley: love yourself just the way you are.

They call themselves YLAG — Young Ladies Aspiring Greatness. But this group is more than a name. It’s a mission. And even more than that, a mindset.

"I like community service. I like just being with other people and connecting," said Jakyia Jackson, a senior at Chaminade Julienne and one-year YLAG member. "And I thought it would be a good idea to be with a whole bunch of girls who share the same idea as me and connect with them and do big things."
