GAYLORD ― The first time Gaylord and Petoskey met on the soccer pitch this season back on Aug. 21, the game was decided in the second half as a barrage of goals from the Blue Devils helped GHS pull off a 5-4 victory, its first win in the rivalry since 2019.

The second time they met on Tuesday, Sept. 16, the game was also decided in the second half, but it wasn't a streak of goals from one side or the other, just one well-timed strike that pushed the Northmen to victory.
