Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) released a text message Wednesday she had received from right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk just two weeks before his death, sharing it alongside an ominous warning about her fears for the future of his conservative advocacy group, Turning Point USA.

In the message, shared on X via a screenshot, Kirk allegedly invited Greene to speak at Turning Point USA’s annual conference America Fest, and asked her if she’d like to participate in a debate on the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, the influential pro-Israel lobbying organization.

Greene is one of just two Republican members of Congress that have called for AIPAC to register as a foreign lobby, having argued last month that the organization is “representing the secular government of a nuclear armed Israel 100%!”

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is the only other Republican lawmaker to have also called for AIPAC to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which would mandate the organization adhere to far stricter legal and compliance burdens, including required disclosures on communications with lawmakers and officials.

In turn, AIPAC has targeted both Greene and Massie, and routinely defends its ranks as only serving the interests of American citizens who support the United States’ relationship with Israel.

“Charlie Kirk invited me to speak at Amfest a few weeks ago before he was martyred,” Greene wrote in a social media post on X Wednesday.

“This was after I called for AIPAC to register under FARA and said that the nuclear armed secular government of Israel was committing genocide in Gaza and killing innocent children, Christians, and people. He asked if I wanted to debate about AIPAC but made it clear NOT against him.”

Greene went on to then warn against a “foreign country” taking over Turning Point USA in an apparent jab at Israel, comments similar to those made by conservative figure Tucker Carlson on Monday, where he took a dig at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for proclaiming Kirk to have been a “lion-hearted friend of Israel” just hours after his killing.

“Do not allow a foreign country, foreign agents, and another religion tell you about Charlie Kirk,” Greene wrote. “And I hope a foreign country and foreign agents and another religion does not take over Christian Patriotic Turning Point USA.”

Speaking on the “Charlie Kirk Show” Monday in the wake of Kirk’s killing, Carlson called the interjections of foreign heads of state on Kirk’s killing – interjections he accused of forwarding agendas – “disgusting.”
