Wednesday marks another above-average day in North Texas, with high temperatures running 5-7° hotter than normal for this point in the year.

Temperatures will stick above average through at least the weekend, with near-daily shower and storm chances for parts of North Texas.

For our Thursday, expect another afternoon with highs in the low to mid-90s. Shower coverage looks to be around 30% during the afternoon and evening.

By Thursday night into Friday, we'll be eyeing a cold front that looks to move along the Red River, bringing a few shower chances during the overnight hours.

We'll then watch for additional scattered rain chances Friday afternoon and evening as a trough moves through the northern and central Plains.
