Vermont university makes list of most liberal colleges in the U.S.

When picking a college to attend, high schoolers consider a variety of factors including cost, location, size and how much of a party school it is.

But what about a school’s political leanings ?

In their 2026 college rankings, Niche calculated the most liberal and conservative colleges using student reviews of the political leanings of the campus community. They used both student's personal political leanings and their opinions about the political leanings of students at the college.
