A man has been arrested after a car was engulfed in flames on a Glasgow east end street.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Mathieson Terrace, off Ballater Street, Bridgeton, around 1.30pm on Wednesday (September 17).
Footage from the scene shows the car surrounded by lapping orange flames as black smoke rises from the vehicle. Police were also called.
Officers arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the incident. There are no reports of any injuries.
Police said enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.30pm on Wednesday, 17 September, 2025, we received a report of a car on fire on Mathieson Terrace, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. There are no reported injuries.
