An Aberdeen city centre street has been locked down by emergency services following a fire.

Several emergency crews, including police, paramedics and the fire service , are currently in attendance at the scene on North Silver Street this afternoon (September 17).

Images from the scene show a cordon in place at the street's junction with Golden Square , with at least five emergency vehicles in attendance.

The incedent occurred at around 2pm today. It is not currently known if anyone was injured in the blaze.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 1.52pm on Wednesday, 17 September, to reports of a fire in an unoccupied commercial building near to Ruby Place, Aberdeen.
