Officials at Gettysburg National Military Park are asking the public for help after a man earlier this week vandalized a monument honoring two New York infantry regiments.
Sometime between 5 and 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, a man etched the initials “LJR” into a bronze plaque on the monument erected for the 12th and 44th New York Infantry Regiments, according to communications specialist Jason Martz.
