Cedar Falls Fire Department Responds to Early Morning Fire

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Early on September 17, a fire erupted at a commercial building located at 2422 West Fourth Street. Cedar Falls Fire Rescue quickly responded after the Black Hawk County Dispatch Center received a 911 call at 2:03 a.m.

Firefighters found the blaze on the building's front deck and extinguished it rapidly. All residents were safely evacuated. The building sustained smoke and water damage.

Authorities are investigating the fire's cause. Cedar Falls Public Safety received assistance from Black Hawk County Dispatch, Mercy One paramedics, CFU, and the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office.
