We are two weeks into the fantasy football season, and patterns are starting to emerge. Some wide receivers look like weekly lineup locks while others are quickly moving toward the bench. Between shaky quarterback play, injured defenses, and shifting target shares, Week 3 could be the week you win or lose based on your choices at wideout. Here are the receivers you should feel confident starting, and the ones that come with too much risk this week.

Start ’Em

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas CowboysThe Bears' defense is leaking yardage and just got roasted by Detroit. Lamb is Dak Prescott’s first look in almost every passing situation, and with Jaylon Johnson out, he is set up for a monster week. His baseline looks like six catches for 70 yards, but there is room for 10 receptions, 130 yards, and multiple touchdowns.

George Pickens, Dallas CowboysPickens has totaled 8 receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown through two games, demonstrating consistent production and a growing bond with Prescott. He made big plays late in the Cowboys’ win, including a pivotal 27-yard gain in overtime. With the Bears missing starters in the secondary, Pickens could see favorable matchups against backup corners Nahshon Wright and Tyrique Stevenson.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle SeahawksSmith-Njigba is living up to the hype, drawing consistent targets and showing versatility. He has been reliable in the short game while still capable of stretching the field. Look for Darnold to expose New Orleans and for Njigba to have a huge game.

Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville JaguarsDo not be fooled by the slow start; Thomas is still Jacksonville’s top receiver. He leads the team in targets and is too talented to stay quiet much longer. Houston’s defense has been exposed by physical outside receivers before, and Thomas is primed for a bounce-back. He should be viewed as a solid WR2 with WR1 upside this week.

Rome Odunze, Chicago BearsOdunze announced himself in Week 2 with 128 yards and two touchdowns against Detroit. He is quickly looking like the new WR1 in Chicago, and he should see heavy volume against Dallas, which gave up big numbers to New York last week.

Sit ’Em

D.J. Moore, Chicago BearsMoore is being phased out of the WR1 role and has not commanded the same volume he once did. He is risky until proven otherwise.

Chris Olave, New Orleans SaintsWith Spencer Rattler still adjusting, Olave’s downfield opportunities have dried up. His ceiling is capped until the quarterback play steadies.

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee TitansRidley has the targets but not the chemistry with Cam Ward. He is just as likely to give you three catches for 40 yards as he is to post a WR2 line.

Hollywood Brown, Kansas City ChiefsMahomes is spreading the ball around, and Brown has yet to establish himself. He remains a boom-or-bust option at best.

Drake London, Atlanta FalconsLondon is talented, but Atlanta’s passing offense has been sluggish. Through two games, he is averaging under 50 yards per contest, and with the Falcons leaning on the ground game, his chances to break out this week are slim.
