SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A Beresford man - who admits killing three people - will learn his fate Wednesday.

22-year-old Hayden Hall was speeding and high on cocaine when he crashed his pickup in December of 2023. Rather than calling for help, Hall left the crash scene, stole a car and drove home.

In July, he pleaded guilty to three counts of manslaughter. His sentencing hearing got underway Wednesday morning. The courtroom was so full that they opened up a second room where people could watch the proceedings on Zoom.

On Wednesday at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Judge Rachel Rasmussen heard from two investigators and also heard about messages sent by one of the passengers in the moments leading up to the crash. She wrote, "I'm going to die… he's going to crash." She also wrote that
