LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Vice President J.D. Vance will speak at a metal stamping facility in Howell today.
Vance arrived at the Capital Region International Airport shortly after 11 a.m. It is unclear when he is scheduled to speak.
The White House says the event will focus on President Donald Trump's tax cuts, which have been a Republican Party priority. Preparations are underway at HATCH Stamping, a precision metal stamping facility in Howell, which is expecting to host the vice president.
Livingston County Sheriff Mike Murphy said the U.S. Secret Service is partnering with local agencies to make sure things go smoothly. He said in light of recent national incidents, they're doing everything they can to keep everybody safe.
