A fan-favourite cereal sold at supermarkets such as Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose has been urgently recalled by its supplier.

Spoon Cereals has been forced to issued a notice after it was determined its Cinnamon + Pecan Granola contains oats (gluten) and peanuts which are not mentioned on the label.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said this means the product is a "possible health risk" for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to "oats or gluten, or with coeliac disease and or an allergy to peanuts."

Spoon Cereals said a "small number" of one batch was "mispacked" by a "co-packer," meaning some products may contain peanuts and gluten.
