One of South Korea’s largest banks is suing the head of Windsor’s Coco Group and another developer for more than $1.5 billion over a controversy-plagued Toronto condo project.

The lawsuit alleges that Jenny Coco and Toronto real estate magnate Sam Mizrahi have defaulted as guarantors on loans for the unfinished high-rise formerly called The One — now known as One Bloor West — touted as the tallest residential building in Canada.

“Since the closing of the Credit Agreement in 2019, the Borrower has committed numerous Events of Default that are continuing,” KEB Hana Bank alleges in its application to sue.
