The status of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is being examines by the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
So far, it’s featured both praise from Republicans and harsh critiques from Democrats on the job performance of FBI Director Kash Patel. Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley asked Patel about the agency’s investigation into the assassination of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk.
“We are investigating Charlie’s assassination fully and completely and running out every lead related to any allegation of broader violence, and we’re producing results on that that we’ll disclose when appropriate,” Patel said.
“Good. I’m. I’m glad to hear that,” Hawley replied.
