WESTLAKE, Ohio (WOIO) - Westlake police are reminding drivers to keep an eye out for school buses with flashing lights.

When a bus is stopped with its red lights flashing and stop sign out, you must stop.

If you blow past it, police warn you’re going to get a ticket.

In a case police shared on Facebook, the cruiser was right behind the bus.

But each Westlake school bus is equipped with onboard cameras that will capture the license plate of the passing vehicle.

Officers added passing a bus with red lights flashing puts children getting on and off the bus in danger.
