ITC will conduct aerial patrols of high-voltage transmission lines in Michigan for the next few weeks.
The inspections will cover most of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, according to a community announcement. The patrols are part of ITC’s vegetation management program and are required by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation.
The aerial inspections will take place in several counties on specific dates. From Sept. 18-23, patrols will take place in Allegan, Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Eaton, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Kent, Muskegon, Ottawa, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties.
From Sept. 24-29, inspections will occur in Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, St. Clair, Tuscola and Wayne counties. Finally, from Sept. 30-Oct. 3, patrols will be conducted i
