AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An alleged cult leader will have his second court appearance Wednesday, a week after he was arrersted during an FBI raid of his lavish Columbia County mansion .

The man known as Rony Denis is accused of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and aiding and assisting in filing a false tax return.

He appeared in court last Thursday, and a judge decided to consider bond for him this week. That hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

Also up for a bond decision this week is his No. 2. man, Anthony Oloans, 54, of Hinesville. Oloans’ hearing is expected to be Thursday.

Federal prosecutors want Denis and Oloans to remain in custody.

The other church leaders accused of financial crimes were granted bond last week.
