A new episode of South Park will not air as planned tonight, Sept. 17, with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone admitting they did not get the episode “done in time.”

In a statement shared with Rolling Stone , Parker and Stone said, “Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done. This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!”

Unlike past seasons, Season 27 of South Park has been airing every other week, as opposed to weekly, the scheduling ostensibly giving the pair more time to craft episodes in response to current events.
