PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after one person was stabbed at a Walmart in Pasadena on Wednesday, according to police.
The Pasadena Police Department said it received a call at about 10:30 a.m. about a stabbing in a parking lot at the Walmart along 5200 Fairmont Parkway.
When officers arrived, they found the victim critically injured, with a stab wound to the stomach. Police said he was flown to the hospital.
Authorities said they were able to detain a person of interest following a short pursuit.
Police said they have no reason to believe the victim and the person of interest know each other. They said the person of interest arrived at the store and approached the victim.
An investigation continues into the case.
