PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police say an "auto accident" resulted in a pedestrian being hospitalized early Thursday morning.

Around 6:00 a.m., police responded to this incident in the 4300 Block of Cedar Lane. Police say they found a person with life threatening injuries at the scene. The person was then transported to a local hospital.
