The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added a pair of players to the roster during the team’s third and final bye week of the CFL season.
After losing to the Montreal Alouettes 48-31 on Saturday, the Green and White signed American defensive back Sheldrick Redwine the next day before adding Global punter Jesse Mirco on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-0, 196-pound Redwine comes to the CFL after spending the last several seasons in the NFL. After being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Redwine played 27 games over two seasons with the Browns, notching 69 tackles and one interception. The 28-year-old also recorded an interception in the 2020 AFC wild card game against Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
