Heading into Week 2 against the Chicago Bears, questions swirled around Jared Goff and how he might fare without Ben Johnson by his side. As it turns out, he did just fine.
The NFL named Goff the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his role in Detroit’s 52-21 win over Chicago.
Goff completed 82.1% of his passes for 334 yards, a 156.0 passer rating and five touchdowns.
The 31-year-old quarterback is now tied with Lions legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson for the second-most Offensive Player of the Week honors in franchise history with four.
