MIMS, Fla. – A precautionary boil water advisory was issued Wednesday in Mims following a water main break, according to the Brevard County Utility Services Department.

The water main broke at at London Town Lane, affecting residents of the Mims water service area living nearby, the county said in a news release.

Though repairs have been completed and water service should be restored to all residents, the boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink, the release states. Customers will receive a follow-up notification at that time, the county said.
