LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Thursday, Sept. 18th, marks National Cheeseburger Day.
A cheeseburger is simple: buns, cheese, and a burger patty. However, for some, the classic all-American food is much more than just a meal.
For Kenny Cotten, owner of Cotten’s Famous Hamburgers in Lake Charles, flipping burgers has become a legacy that started 43 years ago.
When it comes to flipping the perfect patty, Cotten’s advice for home-grillers is simple:
“Slide your spatula under there, and you can kind of get it to release, then flip it over. That’s all there is to it,” Cotten said.
Cotten said that they go through about 350 patties each day. However, burgers aren’t the only thing Cotten’s is famous for.
