A major upgrade to one of Perth’s biggest sports-themed entertainment venues is nearing completion in Perth’s north.

Varsity Whitfords will reopen its doors on Friday, October 10, after undergoing a significant revamp that has transformed the space into the brand’s largest venue.

When it relaunches, the Whitfords site, now 2000 sqm, will feature eight lanes of Duckpin Bowling, an arcade area, a huge new outdoor beer garden, 86 beers on tap, and 38 high-definition screens.

Duckpin Bowling, which uses smaller, grapefruit-sized balls and shorter and wider pins than traditional ten-pin, made its debut at Varsity’s Cannington venue when it opened in early 2024.

The upgrade has been largely enabled by the transformation of a neighbouring drive-through bottle shop into the 500sqm beer garden.
