ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A new mixed-use development is in the works in north Forsyth County.
Dubbed The Crossing at Coal Mountain, the 140-acre project promises 47,000 square feet of shopping, dining, entertainment and housing.
The site sits at the intersection of Matt Highway and Dahlonega Highway/Highway 9 in the heart of Coal Mountain, an unincorporated community about five miles northeast of Cumming.
The Crossing at Coal Mountain broke ground in July, according to its developer, Atlantic Residential. Frames have been set for the main mixed-use building and two of the multifamily buildings.
