PHILADELPHIA — Inundated with questions about their passing game, the Eagles returned to practice today with one of their best receiving options back on the field.

After missing Sunday’s 20-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs because of a knee injury, tight end Dallas Goedert was back with his teammates as they went through their pre-practice stretch.

That’s great news for a team that enters Week 3 with the second fewest passing yards in the NFL.

Goedert, in his eighth season with the team, has endured his share of injuries over the last four seasons, missing 16 of a possible 68 regular-season games. The Eagles have gone 14-2 in those games, but Goedert’s absence is still felt because he is by far the team’s most dynamic pass-catching tight end.
