WASHINGTON (KSNW) - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services posted a Federal Register notice announcing the release of a new naturalization civics test for 2025.

The Trump administration has expanded the number of questions that can be selected to 128 from 100. Those taking the test must answer 20 questions instead of 10, and must answer 12 correctly to pass.

In addition, the administrator of the test must ask all 20 questions rather than stopping after the test taker answers the minimum required to pass the test.
