The Princess of Wales has unveiled her stunning gown and tiara ahead of a lavish state banquet with US President Donald Trump. Kate Middleton shared a photo on social media showcasing her exquisite Philippa Lepley full-length evening coat, which is hand-embroidered with gold lace and adorned with roses, French knots, and satin-stitched blooms. This choice reflects her dedication to British craftsmanship.

In addition to her gown, Kate wore several royal orders, including the Royal Family Order of King Charles III and the Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. Prince William complemented her look in a white tie and Windsor tail coat, adorned with the Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash and various miniature medals.

The couple shared a picture with the caption: "Ready for The State Banquet." During the dinner, President Trump, who complimented Kate on her appearance, will be seated beside her. King Charles and Queen Camilla posed for photographs with the Trumps prior to the event. Camilla donned a royal blue silk marocain embroidered dress by Fiona Clare, paired with a sapphire and diamond tiara.

Melania Trump chose a fitted, daring off-the-shoulder yellow gown with a contrasting pink belt. The banquet will feature a bespoke transatlantic whisky sour cocktail, garnished with a toasted marshmallow on a star-shaped biscuit, designed to evoke the warmth of a fireside S’more. This cocktail, a UK/US twist on the classic whisky sour, combines Johnnie Walker Black with citrus marmalade, topped with pecan foam.

In a nod to President Trump’s unique status as the 45th and 47th president, guests will enjoy Warre’s 1945 vintage port, the closest vintage to his birth year. A Hennessy 1912 Cognac Grande Champagne will also be served, honouring the birth year of his mother, Mary Anne MacLeod. Additionally, a Bowmore Queen’s Cask whisky, gifted to the late Queen Elizabeth, has been selected to reflect Trump’s Scottish heritage.

Although President Trump is a teetotaller and will not partake in the drinks, the White House has been informed of the selections and the thought behind them. The sumptuous menu, presented in French, includes Hampshire watercress panna cotta with parmesan shortbread, organic Norfolk chicken ballotine, and bombe glacee cardinal, a dessert featuring vanilla ice cream and Kentish raspberry sorbet.

Before the grand dinner, King Charles and Queen Camilla inspected the banquet table, ensuring everything was perfect for their distinguished guests.
