Ahead of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon has announced CB Garrett Williams and DL L.J. Collier have been added to IR.

While it's unclear what happened to Collier, Williams sustained a knee injury during the team's clash with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, colliding with safety Budda Baker.

Fortunately for Cardinals fans, it isn't all bad news. According to Gannon, both Williams and Collier have a chance to return to action before the end of the season.

Of course, per the NFL 's IR rules, both players must miss a minimum of four games before being eligible to return.

In the meantime, Max Melton, who was carted off the field with a knee injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game, will be practicing today, according to ESPN's
