SOUTH LOOP — The team behind The 78 megadevelopment hopes to ease congestion concerns surrounding its proposed Chicago Fire stadium with a transportation plan that emphasizes fans using public transit.
The Fire are gearing up to build a 22,000-seat soccer stadium at the long-stalled development site south of Roosevelt Road between Clark Street and the Chicago River in the South Loop. Representatives from Related Midwest, which owns the site known as the 78, recently shared their plans for parking and transportation at the stadium, which is scheduled to break ground soon.
