ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Texas Veterans Land Board is extending an invitation to the community to attend the unaccompanied burial of U.S. Air Force Veteran Gregory Paul McPherson at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, ensuring no Veteran is laid to rest alone.

Born on August 9, 1960, McPherson served from June 1979 to May 1982. As McPherson has no known next of kin, the Texas Veterans Land Board is encouraging the public to honor his memory by attending the ceremony. He will be laid to rest with full military honors.

The burial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located at 7457 West Lake Road in Abilene.
