MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Prior to last week’s Backyard Brawl, Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi had quite the description of WVU running back Clay Ash.

“He is a physical dude,” Narduzzi said. “He looks like (former Arizona State running back Cam) Skattebo.”

It’s not bad for a player with less than 25 career carries to be compared to someone who rushed for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns last season.

“He’s a pretty good running back for sure,” Ash said this week. “That’s nice.”

Narduzzi was comparing running styles, certainly not production, but the analogy is more appropriate than he might have thought.
