The RIM shopping center will soon have a sporty new addition: Discount chain Sierra , the outdoorsy sibling of T.J. Maxx, is making its Texas debut at 17815 La Cantera Pkwy. #120 on September 20.

The big-box store's format will feel familiar to Maxxinistas. The chain offers 20 to 60 percent discounts on brand-name apparel and accessories, including Adidas, Eddie Bauer, Timberland, and Lucky Brand.

Unlike its parent company's other brands, Sierra is primarily focused on an active lifestyle. The store has aisles dedicated to fitness gear, fishing, cycling, camping, and hunting equipment, though it steers clear of selling guns.
