ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — A rollover crash in Attleboro left one man injured and caused a power outage on Tuesday afternoon, according to city officials.
The crash happened at the intersection of Holden and Benefit streets just after 1:30 p.m. Crews arrived to find a car on its roof in the roadway, heavily damaged and missing a tire.
Firefighters freed the driver, a man in his 70s, who was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials said the vehicle hit a utility pole, which knocked down wires and cut power in the area. National Grid was called in to make repairs and restore service.
