SALT LAKE CITY — Traffic backups near Lindon due to a crash Wednesday morning have caused another pileup, resulting in five damaged vehicles and two people in serious and critical condition.
According to Lieutenant Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol , Lindon’s traffic troubles began at 9:15 a.m. when a dump truck lost a rear tire, which bounced over the retaining wall and struck two vehicles. The Patrol reported minor injuries in that crash.
While traffic was slowed in the area during the UHP’s investigation, a passenger car was rear-ended by a semi-truck after stopping on the highway, resulting in a total of five vehicles involved in the crash.
Roden said that one patient is in critical condition, and another is in serious condition.
