MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A 16-year-old is charged with attempted murder on Wednesday after a fight at a cookout which injured a 2-year-old in August near Orange Mound, according to Memphis police.
The male juvenile has been charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and reckless endangerment.
On Aug. 25, one of the victims involved in the shooting told police he and his child went to a BBQ at a residence in the 1100 block of Semmes Street.
He said when he arrived, he saw the woman who invited him to the BBQ having a physical altercation with his sister.
He told police he walked back inside the home with his 2-year-old child and asked what was going on.
