7Bronx, NY – A 30-year-old man was slashed across the face and neck in a violent street attack Friday afternoon, sending him to the hospital as police search for two suspects who fled the scene.

The assault happened around 4:34 p.m. in front of 518 East 138th Street, when the victim was approached from behind by two unidentified men. One of the assailants slashed him from the back of his neck to the front of his face before both suspects took off northbound on Brook Avenue.

EMS rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was reported in stable condition.
