GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office reports Carolina High School is on lockdown after a student was reported to possibly be in possession of a gun on campus.

The report came from another student, deputies said.

Deputies report they have made contact with the student and that a weapon has not been located at this time. Deputies are searching the school, including the implementation of EVOLV weapons detection systems.

The school principal Jeremy Carrick sent the following statement:
