ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Apache Elementary School has been placed in a shelter-in-place as Albuquerque Police are responding to a barricaded subject in the area of the school.

According to Albuquerque Public Schools, there will be no bus service or daycare pickup at Apache Elementary on Wednesday afternoon.

The school district says all students, including those who walk to and from school, will need to be picked up from school by parents, guardians or authorized individuals at 2:15 p.m. on the east side of the school.

The school district says all after-school activities have also been canceled for Wednesday at Apache Elementary.
