ORONO, Maine — A University of Maine student is recovering from their injuries after they were apparently hit by a vehicle Tuesday on campus.
A university spokesperson said in a news release that the vehicle was driven by a school employee.
The student was brought by ambulance to a local hospital around 3 p.m. where they're alert and being treated for injuries, according to the news release.
The student's parents have been made aware of the incident, according to the spokesperson.
The UMaine Police Department is investigating.
The school spokesperson also said no charges will be filed.
