BOSTON —
A former Massachusetts National guardsman pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography in federal court this week.
Nicholas Wells, 44, a former master sergeant of the 102 Security Forces of the Massachusetts National Guard stationed in Sandwich, pleaded guilty to possession and distribution of child pornography. He will be sentenced in January.
According to investigators, Wells engaged in chats on a messaging application, in which he discussed his interest in minors and distributed videos depicting child pornography.
More than 300 images and 100 videos depicting child pornography were found on his phone, investigators said. Wells also distributed more than 70 videos depicting child pornography, some of which involved infants, investigators said.
