LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is in custody after a barricade situation at a Lexington apartment.

The Lexington Police Department says Clay Phillips, 38, was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a domestic violence investigation turned into a brief barricade situation at an apartment on Chiles Avenue.

Officers say Phillips was taken into custody without incident.

Police say no injuries were reported.

Phillips is charged with fourth-degree assault-domestic violence, intimidating a witness, and two unrelated warrants.

He was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
