A Macomb County jury convicted a Sanilac County man who was accused of killing a Roseville woman by strangling her with a shoelace, then driving her body in her pickup truck nearly three years ago.

Stephen Freeman , 22, of Lexington, is to be sentenced Oct. 22 in Macomb County Circuit Court.

He was found guilty Wednesday, Sept. 17, of first-degree premediated murder; felony murder; first-degree home invasion; second-degree criminal sexual conduct; concealing the death of an individual, and receiving and concealing stolen property, a motor vehicle, according to online court records.

He faces life without parole on the homicide charges, according to the county prosecutor's office.

Messages were left for Freeman's attorney, who could not be immediately reached for comment.
